WELL KNOWN FARMER
DIES NEAR ELK HORN

SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR
GEO. N. CHRISTENSEN WHO
DIED SATURDAY

Funeral services were held at the
Danish Lutheran church in Elk Horn
Monday afternoon for the late Geo.
N. Christensen, widely known in Elk
Horn and vicinity, who died Saturday
evening at his home west of that
place. Death was due to cancer of the
stomach and followed an illness of
two months. Rev. Jensen of Bethany
officiated and interment was in the
Elk Horn cemetery.

The deceased was born in Breg-
ninge, Denmark on May 25, 1855.
He came to America on May 25, 1865
and resided in the Elk Horn vicinity
since that time.

Nine children who survive are Nis
Christensen, Ames; Mrs. Chris Christ-
ensen, Mrs. Poldberg, Mrs. P. Soe,
Elk Horn vicinity; Hans, Daniles
Dagny, Alvin and Irene at home.
A brother, Chris N. Christensen, re-
sides in Elk Horn. There are also
two brothers who reside in Denmark.
Mrs. Christensen passed away in 1920.
