THOS. McNALLY DIES AT HOME
OF SISTER IN MONTANA ON
THURSDAY LAST WEEK

Funeral services were held at the
family home southeast of town on
Monday forenoon at nine o'clock
for the late Thomas McNally, former
resident of this place, who died last
Thursday at the home of a sister, Mrs.
Ella Davis, of Billings, Montana. The
services were in charge of Fr. Costello
who celebrated the Requiem Mass and
the remains were laid to rest in the
Exira Catholic cemetery.

The remains were brought to Exira
by his brother, John, who was with
him when the final summons came.

The deceased was born in Daven-
port, Iowa, and moved with the fam-
ily to Audubon county in early man-
hood. Much of his life was spent in
the west and for the past two years
he had made his home with his sisters,
Mrs. James Brown and Mrs. Homer
Davis at Billings, Montana.

The pall bearers were John Kil-
worth, Will Wulf, Joe Gilroy, Sam
McGaffin, Chas. Kommes and Barney
Doffing.

Relatives and friends from a dis-
tance in attendance at the funeral
were Frances McNally, Crofton, Neb.,
Sister M. Bernadette, Neola, Richard
McNally, Gothenberg, Neb., Mrs. J.
C. Delaney and son, Leo, and daugh-
ter, Winifred of Watkins, Mrs. J. W.
Feller of Marengo, and Pat Murphy
of Casey.
