MARTIN-Cassius C. Martin, 75, a resident of
Albuquerque since 1941, died Friday, September
28, 1990. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Martin
of the home; sons, Reuben Martin of Heidleburg,
Germany; Carlos Martin and wife, Mary Jane, of
Albuquerque; Jimmy Martin of Albuquerque;
Terrance Martin of Albuquerque; Ken Bates and
wife, Priscilla, of Los Lunas; and Don Bates and
wife, Carol, of Albuquerque; daughters, Linda Lou
Hurley and husband, Chris, of Spokane, WA;
Sandra Sue Martin of Los Lunas; and Betty Wimpy
and husband, Chuck, of Arlington, TX; brother,
Kermit Martin of Exira, IA; sister, Beth Akers of
Exira, IA; and 7 grandchildren. Mr. Martin was
retired from the Air Force having been a Master
Sergeant, serving 31 years active duty. He was a
member of Highland Assembly of God Church. Mr.
Martin also was a member of V.F.W. and was an
active bowler in the Holiday Bowling Leagues. He
also held an avid interest in history and family
genealogy. Services will be held Tuesday, October
2, 1990, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University
Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE, with Rev. C.
Eddie Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be Glenn
Carruth, Dean Hughes, Louis Tanner, Raymond
Negus, Gerry Foster, and George Scott. Honorary
Pallbearers will be Rueben Martin, Carlos Martin,
Jimmy Martin, Terry Martin, Ken Bates, and Don
Bates. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial
Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French
Mortuary, Monday, from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.
