Mrs. Martin Of
Exira Dies

EXIRA--Mrs. Kathryn Martin,
44, died at 8:20 this morning at the
Audubon hospital where she had
been a patient since Thursday.
Mrs. Martin had been ill with
multiple sclerosis the past 20
years.

She was born July 27, 1916 on a
farm near Exira, the daughter of
John and Nora Petersen. After her
marriage to Basil Martin on June
20, 1940, she lived on a farm south-
east of here. Mrs. Martin was a
member of the Christian church.

Surviving besides her husband
are two children, John a student
at Iowa City and Sharon at home;
two brothers, Bill and LeRoy Pet-
ersen of Exira, and three sisters,
Mrs. Audrin For(e)sman and Mrs.
Richard Joseph(s)en of Exira and
Mrs. James Jorgensen of Audubon.

The body will lie in state at
the Corl funeral home and services
are pending.
