Lad Accidentally Shot

Glen Chase, seventeen-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Chase, of
West Exira, accidentally shot him-
self Monday evening as he was fool-
ing with a shot-gun which, it was
supposed, was unloaded. The bul-
let entered his limb and as the lad
can not get up enough courage to
take an anesthetic, the bullet still
remains in his limb.

Glen is able to walk about with
the aid of a crutch.

Note: The parents of Glen Harold Chase (1904-1971) were George Willis "Joe" Chase and Mary S. Lefleur. Glen was married to both Erna Bald and Elsie E. Bald, sisters.
