It Was A Nice, Neat
Trick They Pulled

A couple of our young people,
Frank Benham and Miss Emmaline
Bills, completely surprised their
friends here last week, when their
marriage was announced, which
had taken place December 10th, at
Winterset, Iowa. The bride had
been staying at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elam Bills,
west of town, since their marriage,
and Frank was staying in town
holding down the work at his place
of business, the Statzell & Benham
barber shop. Their marriage be-
came known when the couple star-
ted out in search of a residence
property. As is usually the case
the wide-awake boys of our city
got next the secret and without a
word of warning rushed to the C.
B. Parrott home, last Friday eve-
ning, where the newly-weds were
staying, and gave them a lively
charivari.

Well, anyway, even tho' we are
a little late, let's all join in extend-
ing congratulations.

Note: Parents of Emaline Mary Bills were Elam H. Bills and Agnes Essington.
Parents of Frank C. Benham were Theodore A. Benham and Nancy Louise Bell.
