Littlefield Herd Is
Highest In February

--------

E. C. Jacoby, tester for the Audu-
bon-Cass Dairy Cow Testing associa-
tion, makes the following report for
the month just passed.

The Follie Littlefield holstein herd
was highest in production for Feb-
ruary with 33.1 pounds of butterfat.

Geo. B. Jensen's holstein herd was
second with 27.7 pounds butterfat
production.

Follie Littlefield's cows "Pet" and
"Civy" produced 54.0 pounds and
50.3 pounds respectively.

We know now that we are on the
bottom economically with no place
to go but up. We have been hear-
ing for sometime about being on
the bottom but they proved to be
false bottoms.

While the dairyman has been
better able to weather the storm
than some others, a raise in butter-
fat prices would be most welcome.

Note: Follie Littlefield was Alonzo Follansbee "Follie" Littlefield (1884-1960), dairyman and seed corn producer from Exira. He was married to Sarah Caroline Wahlert (1883-1965).
