Greeley Township Farm
Home Razed By Fire

--------

The farm residence of Mr. and
Mrs. Chas. Kopaska was completely
destroyed by fire Saturday after-
noon. No one was at home at the
time the fire started and when the
flames were first sighted they were
beyond control. Those who first saw
the fire stated that the flames broke
out on the roof near the kitchen
chimney.

Mrs. Kopaska (Eva C. Eagen), who was visiting
at the home of a neighbor, was the
first to see the fire, but by the time
help arrived the conflagration had
gained such headway that nothing
was saved. All household furnish-
ings, clothing and fruit and vege-
tables belonging to the family were
lost, and were only partly covered
by insurance.

Miss Virginia Kopaska, a daugh-
ter, lost about fifty dollars in cash
which was in a purse in her room.

The farm is the property of Ed
Bilharz of Audubon and insurance
on the house will partially cover the
loss.
