Nels Andersen Weds
Miss Ruby Phippen

Nels Andersen, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Chris Andersen of Audubon
township, and Miss Ruby Phippen,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
Phippen, were united in marriage
Wednesday afternoon at the Lu-
theran parsonage. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. H. L.
Jensen. Attending the couple werre
Earl Phippen and Miss Ruth Phip-
pen, brother and sister of the
bride.

The fact that the bridegroom's
brithday(birthday) anniversary occurred the
same day as the wedding will give
much more significance to future
anniversaries and he will have
double cause for celebrating.

The couple will reside on the
Krogh farm east of Exira after
March first.

Note: Parents of Ruby Malinda Phippen were Charles Phippen and Junette "Nettie" Radcliff. Ruby was a great-granddaughter of first Audubon county white settler, Nathaniel Hamlin.
Parents of Nels Christian Andersen were Chris Andersen and Alvilda Marie Lund.
