Maxine Herrick Injured
In Fall From Automobile

Miss Maxine Herrick, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edson Herrick
of south of Exira, had a miracul-
ous escape from death Saturday
evening when she fell out of an
automobile in which she was rid-
ing with Miss Lola Brauch.

Her left arm and left leg were
badly fractured and she was bad-
ly bruised about the body. The
injured girl was rushed to the At-
lantic hospital where both are
employed.

The two girls were enroute to
Exira to visit relatives when the
accident occurred.

BRAYTON

Miss Maxine Herrick, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edson Herrick,
met with a serious accident Sat-
urday night while on her way
home. The door of the car in
in which she was riding came open
ans she was thrown to the pave-
ment breaking her left leg and
arm. She received painful body
bruises. She was taken back to
the hospital and she is doing as
well as can be expected.

Note: Maxine Herrick's parents were Edson Herrick and Alice R. Freeman.
