Maxine Herrick Injured
In Fall From Automobile--------
Miss Maxine Herrick, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edson Herrick
of south of Exira, had a miracul-
ous escape from death Saturday
evening when she fell out of an
automobile in which she was rid-
ing with Miss Lola Brauch.Her left arm and left leg were
badly fractured and she was bad-
ly bruised about the body. The
injured girl was rushed to the At-
lantic hospital where both are
employed.The two girls were enroute to
Exira to visit relatives when the

Miss Maxine Herrick, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edson Herrick,
met with a serious accident Sat-
urday night while on her way
home. The door of the car in
in which she was riding came open
ans she was thrown to the pave-
ment breaking her left leg and
arm. She received painful body
bruises. She was taken back to
the hospital and she is doing as
well as can be expected.Note: Maxine Herrick's parents were Edson Herrick and Alice R. Freeman.
