Louie Bengard received a severe
injury to his hand Monday while
sawing wood with a cross-cut saw.
The saw became "pinched" while
sawing a limb from a standing
tree and on being released started
to fall. Lou made a grab for it and
the teeth cut a deep gash in the
palm of his hand.

Note: Lou Christian "Louie" Bengard's parents were Hans Jurgen Bengaard and Cathrine J. "Katie" Birk. His wife was Annette Juhl.
