Letters From Folks
You Know
Salida, California.
October 10, 1929.
Editor Audubon County Journal
Dear Sir.

My husband reminds me that our
subscription is again due, and, as the
"Journal" is his "Letter From Home",
he does not want to miss it.

This is our fourth year with the
Salida Congregational Community
Church, and we are just completing
repairs and improvements that have
amounted to nearly a thousand dol-
lars, and wonderfully improved the ap-
pearance of the property, while the
church membership has more than
doubled in that time.

Our older son, Frank, is a senior at
the college of the Pacific and manager
of the Rho Lambda Phi Fraternity
House, while Eugene joined him as a
freshman in September. Both of them
are six feet tall and popular in
athletics as well as more important
things.

Our daughters are often with us,
and the small grandson and daughter
make us feel rather old, but, on the
whole, this has been a very happy
year with us.

With all good wishes, we remain,
Yours Truly,
Frank B. and Rev.
Jessie Getty Heath.

Note: Frank Byron Heath (1862-1940) was the son of Amherst Calvin Heath and Lola Ann Lacey.
Rev. Jessie May Garvin (1876-1948) was the daughter of James Stewart Garvin and Avis Permelia Bunce.
