I have the book index to tombstones in appanoose co,iowa as of 1900/,,there is no tombstone listing for Elizabeth nash listed, other nash burials in the schaefer cemetery are for Alice N, charley H, james d, N.M. (maybe N.H.) AND ROSIE e, SORRY but I don;t
' have the walnut township cemetery book to look up those dates. Iowa did not reqiuire that death record records be kept that early...and it is not very likely a 1860 tombstone would still be standing, none of my relatives who died about the same time or even up to 1880 have standing tombstones. of course all my ancestors were poor farmers with no mponey for marble tombstones!
