I was at our local library looking up some of my ancestors in the 1925 Special Iowa census and checked out the Bohms. Neither John nor Emily had an entry, either because they had died or moved away, but Frank (their son) was still living in Appanoose County. That census asks for information on parents. He lists his father as John Bohm, b. France, mother as Emily Henrich, b. Germany, and lists their mariage as happening in Germany.

I caution that information that far removed from the actual source is not always correct.
