From the 1925 Iowa state census, as well as Iowa marriage records for Appanoose County, both at Ancestry.com, it appears that John and Margaret (Clark) Scott's children married as follows:

1. Frances C. Scott to Preston Hiatt
2. Alice Scott to William Vinzer (or Vinzant) on 28 Feb 1880
3. Mary E. Scott to James M. Wright on 20 Jan 1876
4. Martha A. Scott to Joseph L. Smith on 27 Jul 1865
5. Butler G. Scott to Elizabeth E. McIntire, 27 Feb 1868
6. John E. Scott to Sarah J. Wright, 20 Aug 1868
7. Thomas Scott to R.E. Hickenbottom, 6 Feb 1873
(this one needs confirmation)
8. Stephen Scott to "Manerva" (maiden name unknown); about 1863 per the 1870 census.
9. Margaret Scott to "Unknown." I don't find any record.
