I search some newspapers for that era and found nothing on Robert Beck. You stated that he moved in 1855 to Appanoose Co. and his family was there until 1875, but I don't find a BECK surname in the 1860 or 1870 census in Appanoose County. Do you know the names of his children or where Dr. Beck lived before moving to Appanoose Co., Iowa? I am happy to help if I can.
