Mary,

I don't believe this is my Julia and William Davenport. My Julia A. Davenport was born in 1837 and I believe, died prior to 1866, as William remarried in 1866. William was supposably born in 1837. I have been in contact with William and his 2nd wife's descendants, and they said that family lore is that in 1876 William went west for gold and was never heard from again.

I'm going to have to do some further research on this. Possibly Julia and William divorced.

Thank you for the info -- I will have to track this down.
