Val, I am a direct decendant of Stephen Root born Abt 1778 in CT, died in Appanoose County, IA abt 1863. His is my grt grt grt Grandfather. My family comes down through his son, also Stephen Root born 16 Jun 1818 in OH, died 29 May 1909, Centerville, Appanoose Cty, IA. Stephen's daughter, Mary Ellen Root Randolph born 1853 in Ohio died 16 Aug 1904 in Centerville, Appanoose Cty, IA is my great grandmother. I have pictures of her. I would be glad to share information I have found so far. Sue Randolph Luke
