DEATH OF A LUDLOW FARMER
The death of Herman Hansmeier, a well known farmer of Ludlow, occurred at his home last week following a short illness. Deceased was born in Germany June 6. 1865, and came to this country when a young man of 17 years of age.

On March 3, 1892, he was united in marriage to Miss Louisa Klepper of Ludlow, who with a family of six children survive him, one son dying in infancy.

The children are as follows: John, Mrs. Marlin (sic Martin) Adam, Mrs. Esther Fiet, Emma, Esther (duplicate), Wilbur (sic Reuben) and Dorthea (sic Dorothy). There are also three grand children, one sister in Germany, one sister, Mrs. Fred Opfer and two brothers, Henry and Simon, all of Waukon.

The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one o’clock at the home and at 1:30 at the Salem Reformed church in Ludlow with Rev. Stuebbe officiating. Interment in the Ludlow Cemetery.
