The death of Miss Nora Bakke took place last Friday evening at the home of her father O. Bakke*, in Center township. The cause of death was rheumatic fever and the deceased would have been 20 years old in May.
The young lady had been assisting Mrs. P.S. Narum with her house work since last fall until taken sick a few weeks ago.
Her brother clerks in the R.J. Alexander clothing store. She was a good girl and is highly spoken of by all who knew her.
The afflicted family have the sympathy of many friends. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Guttebo, took place Monday forenoon at the frame Norwegian church east of town, and quite a number of people from Waukon weree in attendance.
