Earnest Thomas and Miss Luella Scott of Vinton were married at the W. D. Scott home Thursday evening, October 15th at 8 o'clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W. H. Rodgers. Both young people are employees at the Cedar Valley Times office. Mr. Walters is employed as a pressman and the bride is employed in the bindery department. She, like her husband, is faithful and efficient in all her duties. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas will make their home at the Scott home.

To Celebrate Anniversary
Special to the Gazette.
NORWAY-Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Tuesday with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Methodist church.
Mrs. Thomas, the former Mary Fahnle, was born in Germany Nov. 5, 1865. She came to this country with her parents when she was six years old, settling near Norway. Mr. Thomas is the son of a pioneer couple who came to Iowa with the Amana colonists. He was born Aug. 27, 1866, on the Thomas homestead three miles southeast of here.
In that home the couple were married Dec. 31, 1890, by the Rev. Mr. Kresge of the Norway Methodist church in a double wedding ceremony. The other couple was Maggie Thomas and William Wagner.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas lived on the farm where they were married until 1917, when they came to Norway. Both are active in church and community work. Their three children are Neal Thomas of Hubbard, Eldred Thomas and Mrs. Linc Tow of Norway. Their grandchildren are Kathleen Thomas of Leon, Ula Mae Thomas, student at Iowa State Teachers college, Madeline and Allen Thomas of Hubbard, and Lee Tow of Norway.
