Norway Couple--John Hoyts to Note 50th Anniversary--Wednesday, Feb. 18 Mr. and Mrs. John Hoyt of Norway will observe their golden wedding anniversary Wednesday, Feb. 18, with a family gathering at their home.
They were married at Marengo Feb. 18, 1903, both having been born in Iowa county. They started farming near Watkins in 1911. They bought a farm southeast of Norway in Benton county, and on this farm, they still reside, engaged in farming.
They have five children: Mrs. Earl (Eva) Ellingson of Cedar Rapids, Dale Hoyt of Garrison, Mrs. harold (Ruth) Brockschink, Mrs. Chester (Leone) Riley and Chris Hoyt of Norway, 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
