Young People Wed

Ed Fagan Married Wednesday to Miss Jean Goddard

From Mt. Auburn News: E. R. Fagan was married Wednesday of this week to Miss Jean Goddard of Dows City, the wedding ceremony taking place Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. The acquaintance which culminated in this happy marriage was formed at La Porte City while Mr. Fagan was in business there. Miss Goddard has visited at the Fagan home a number of times and is a young lady greatly admired by all who know her. The groom is an industrious and popular young man and is at present employed as a plumber and steam fitter for the Iowa Hardware Company at Vinton. He has a home in Vinton prepared for the reception of his bridge and the young couple will begin housekeeping at once. Mr. Fagan, accompanied by this brother, Harry, and his sister, Miss Lorena, left for Dows City Monday evening. The News joins with the many friends of the bridge and groom in wishing them a long and happy life.
