Matilda Stiegelmeyer
Vinton - Mrs. Matilda Stiegelmeyer, 65, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nathan Merchant, here Saturday of a heart attck; had a blood clot on her leg ...; born Feb. 14, 1881, to Rudolph and Mary Schadle, in Big Grove township, she was married to Weslie J. Stiegelmeyer in Big Grove Mar. 9, 1904; he died in August, 1943. Mrs. Stiegelmeyer had lived in this community all her life; was a member of the Pratt Creek church; leaves daughter, Mrs. Nathan Merchant, Vinton; a son, Lloyd Stiegelmeyer, also of Vinton; two brothers, John Schadle, Sarsota, Fla., and George Schadle, Vinton; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Robertson, Garrison, and Mrs. Sam Irwin, Garrison; funeral at 2 p. m. at the Alcorn-Miller funeral home; burial in Evergreen cemetery.
