Charles Plotz Died on June 9
Charles A. Plotz

Charles A. Plotz, 73, retired farmer who lived six miles southwest of Norway, died in Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Friday night following a brief illness.

Son of Rudolph and Anna Bartosh Plotz, he was born Jan. 24, 1894, near Homestead. He married Gertrude Kimm at St. Patrick's church in Watkins Sept. 24, 1929, and they have since lived on the same farm.

Surviving besides his wife are: five sons, Eugene, Williamsburg; Ralph, Atkins; Ronald, Blairstown and Richard and Bernard at home; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Mary Ellen) Warren, Marion; nine grandchildren; one brother, Joe, Norway; three sisters, Mrs. Al Schrader, Newhall, Mrs. Anna Petrzelka, Fairfax, and Mrs. Marie Johnson, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Monday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Church in Norway, with the Rev. Joseph Krocheski officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Norway.

Pallbearers were: Jame Schrader, Joseph Schrader, Alvin Plotz, Lawrence Plotz, John H. Plotz and Parlyn Plotz.
