Margaret E. Nicodemus
Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton after an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 27, 1888 in Taylor, Township, the daughter of Anslem and Bessie Wakins Tumilty. She married Charles O. Nicodemus Feb. 6, 1911, in Marion.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Sangster of Waterloo, and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nicodemus was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and three brothers.
She operated a cafe in Shellsburg and was a member of Grace Trinity Church and a 50 year member of the Rebekah Lodge. Rev. Ray Haas will officiate at 11 a.m. funeral ceremonies Saturday at Grace Trinity Church.
