Obituary
Mary C. Metz
Mrs. Mary C. Metz, wife of J. B. Metz, passed away Sunday Jan. 28, about 10 p. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Wilde, of this place, after an illness of about two weeks.
The deceased was in her 78th year, was born in Pennsylvania, Nov. 27, 1882, she is survived by an aged husband, three daughters, Mrs. J. F. Wilde, of Belle Plaine, Mrs. T. Moss, Clinton, Iowa, and Mrs. P. C. Lyons, formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, now a resident of Clinton, Iowa, two sons, Harry J. of Bellevue, Iowa and Fred J. of Calamus, Iowa, also eight grand children.
While in early life Mrs. Metz united with the Methodist church of St. Clair, Pennsylvania, and since then has lived a consistent Christian life, faithful until death, hence, a crown of life. The funeral service was held at the Wilde home Wednesday afternoon at 2:80 by Rev. C. G. Zeigler. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
