ROBERT L. FORE
ROBERT L. FORE SHELLSBURG-Robert L. Fore, 73 died early Monday evening, July 13, 1992, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids from complications of a heart attack he suffered in April.
He was born in Palermo, ND., August 27, 1918, to William David and Ema (Henkle) Fore. During World War II he served his nation in the U. S. Army. June 1, 1947 he married Violet M. Drafahl at Kahoka, MO. The couple owned and operated Bob & Vi’s Tavern in Shellsburg for 20 years. She preceded him in death Feb 26, 1984.
Mr. Fore was a member of the Shellsburg Lions Club, the Eagles Club in Vinton, and the American Legion Post #166 of Shellsburg. He is survived by his friend Dorothy Ridenour, Shellsburg.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg...
