Mae Dowell
Vinton - Mrs. Mae Dowell, 77, of old age complications at a nursing home in Belle Plaine; was born Dec. 28, 1867, to Dr. and Mrs. Carey Horton of Shellsburg; was married to A. B. Dowell of Vinton in August, 1899, and lived in Vinton until about year ago, when she was taken to the nursing home; husband preceded her and a daughter, Myrle, died at age of 16 months; a son, Earl, disappeared in 1928 and has not been heard from since; funeral here Tuesday.
