Henry Chizum

DIED-At his residence in Monroe township, Sunday October 25, 1891, Mr. Henry Chizum, aged 55 years. The funeral took place at the M.E. church in Garrison conducted by Rev. J. Haymond. He was buried in Carlisle Grove Cemetery. Mr. Chizum was sick only about a week but was a great sufferer. The family and friends have the sympathy of the entire community as was shown by the crowded house and the long funeral procession. Mrs. Rose Savage, of Nebraska, a daughter of Mr. Chizum, arrived here Tuesday on the 10:16 train just fifteen minutes before the funeral of her father took place. She did not know he was dead until she arrived here although she knew he was very sick.
