Evelyn Beck Cadle, 77, of 2508 Newport Dr. SW, died Wednesday, Dec 17, 2008 at home following a long battle with cancer.

Memorial Mass will be at 10am, Monday, Dec 22, at St Jude's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids by Fr. Mark Reasoner. Burial will be Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her son, Roger (Sandee)Beck of Shellsburg; stepchildren, James Cadle III of Versailles, MO., Martha Cadle Paquin of Naples, Fla., and Susan Cadle Adams of Great Falls, Mont.; her sisters, Madonna Stuart of Bellevue, Orvetta Conrad of Iowa City, Ann Alford of Clgonquin, Ill, and Barbara (Bob) Loeb of Austin, Texas; her brothers, Lewis Lampe of Port Orange, Fla., and Ron (Scherie)Lampe of Oshkosh, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband James Cadle Jr.; her parents; son, Douglas Beck; two brothers, Fred and Joe Lampe; and sister Phyliss Leendertse.

Born July 4,1931, in Bellevue, Evelyn was the daugher of Benjamin and Margaret (Malone)Lampe. In 1953 she was united in marriage to Arthur Beck. They had two sons, Douglas and Roger, and resided in Cedar Rapids. In 1976, she married her second husband, James Cadle Jr., who preceded her in death in 1983. The couple resided in Warrenton, MO.

Throughout her life, Evelyn was employed by Highway Equipment Co., Inc. Gaddis Brothrs of Walford, Gadis Investments, Gaddis and Janey Truck Service, Kraus Equipment, and Gail Industries. She and her husband owned and operated Cadle Enterprises and Manufacturing in Warrenton.

Evelyn was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, RSVP, and National Czech and Slovak Museum & Library. She was a member of All Church Singles, Widow and Widowers, Business and Professional Women, and an investment book club, Ruff Times, of Warrenton.
