Jelsma, Harold C. X    

Robert Melvin Johnson was born May 22, 1923 to Albert M. and Ida Dorsett Johnson. He died Sept. 29, 1946 and is buried in Southlawn Cemetery, Seymour, IA. 

Sgt. Johnson served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.

Milo Jones was born Feb. 2, 1924 to Frank Casey and Grace Clark Jones. He died Nov. 29, 2013 and is buried in Corydon Cemetery, Corydon, IA OR at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, IA (conflicting information found).

MSgt. Jones served with the U.S. Army 612th Engineers Light Equipment Company, 1st army and served under Gen. Omar Bradley. In June 1944, his unit landed on Omaha Beach. He was awarded five bronze stars, serving in Normandy, Rhineland, N. France, Belgium (Battle of the Bulge) and Central Europe.

Cale Ervin Judd was born Feb. 6, 1916 to Joseph Parker and Nellie Bly Lane Judd. He died Dec. 17, 1944 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands. He was initially buried with military honors at the Soestbergen Cemetery in Utrecht. 

Pvt. Judd served in World War II with the U.S. Army 327th Glider Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He became a POW and was transported to the German Army Hospital in Utrecht where he died. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
