Harold Charles Jelsma was born Dec. 17, 1920 to Louis Clarence and Iva Illo Thompson Jelsma. He died May 1943 and is buried in Humeston Cemetery, Humeston, IA.

Pvt. Jelsma served in World War II with the U.S. Army 169th Infantry and was KIA in the southwest Pacific Ocean.
