James H. Callahan was born Jan. 10, 1916 to John N. and Sylvia Rassler Callahan. He died Aug. 30, 1942/FOD Aug. 31, 1943 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. 

Petty Officer Callahan served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was MIA while serving aboard the USS Colhoun (DD-85) when that ship was sunk by Japanese aircraft. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Victor LeRoy Case was born Sept. 3, 1924 to Alvin Henry and Irene Rogers Case. He died Sept. 22, 1944 and is buried in Colfax Cemetery, Colfax, IA.

Pvt. Case served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps L Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division and was KIA in the invasion of Peleliu.

Earl Ernest Caulkins was born Feb. 10, 1912 to Ernest and Rosa Lohmar Caulkins. He died Oct. 30, 1943 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Lt. Caulkins served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps.

Robert Edwin Clark was born Aug. 14, 1916 to Clarence Michael and Jennie Lamb Clark. He died Sept. 9, 2020 and is buried in Colfax Cemetery, Colfax, IA.

Robert William Colyn was born Dec. 8, 1923 to John and Mildred J. Stradley Colyn. He died May 3, 1945 and is buried in Swan Cemetery, Prairie City, IA. He was initially buried in 1st Marine Division Cemetery Okinawa and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Pvt. Colyn served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division and died of wounds received in action on Okinawa Island, Ryukyu Islands.

John Alexander Cooper was born Aug. 25, 1925 to James William (Sr.) and Charlotte Teal Cooper. He died Dec. 16, 2000 and is buried in Sunnyhill Cemetery, Adair, IA.

John served in World War II with the U.S. Coast Guard.

James William “Jim” Cooper, Jr. was born Feb. 5, 1924 to James William (Sr.) and Charlotte Teal Cooper. He died Dec. 20, 2013 and is buried in Russell Cemetery, Russell, IA.

James served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and spent 22 months in the Pacific Theater.

Donald Sterling Crane was born June 13, 1925 to Arthur Floyd and Helen Sterling Crane. He died July 3, 1944 and is buried in Masonic Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Pvt. Crane served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Regiment, 2nd Division and was KIA on Saipan in performance of his duty and service of his country.
