James Paul Bethel was born Nov. 12, 1916 to Charles O. and Rose Doecher Bethel. He died Dec. 14, 2005 and is buried in Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
James served with the U.S. Navy in World War II and the U.S. Air Force in World War II.

Verne Lyle Bowers was born Dec. 23, 1919 to Paul and Jessie Gowen Bowers. He died Mar. 12, 2020 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Maj. Gen. Bowers served with the U.S. Army in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Among his awards and decorations was the Legion of Merit for his service in Vietnam.

Gene Stuart Buretta was born Apr. 17, 1924 to Peter Edward and Loyal Louise Wheeler Buretta. He died Feb. 23, 1945 and has a cenotaph in the Courts of the Missing, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Pvt. Buretta served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and died of wounds received in action on Iwo Jima and was buried at sea.

Harold Leo Byrne was born Aug. 5, 1921 to James Leo and Della Marie Cassidy Byrne. He died Mar. 1, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Byrne served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Langley (CV-1) when it was bombed by enemy planes and sank in the open sea south of Java. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
