Loris Dale Edmondson and Jean Ruth Richardson
were united in marriage, Valentines Day, February
14, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. At that
time, Loris was employed at Lockheed Aircraft Plant
II, Los Angeles and Jean worked for the National
Title Ins. Co. in downtown Los Angeles. In January
1943, Loris was drafted in the U.S. Air Force, where
he remained for three years (two of which he spent
in the South Pacific).
After his honorable discharge in January
1946, they began farming. Two boys
were born to this union; Loris Lynn, born October 4,
1946, and Regie Craig, born August 1, 1950. They
purchased the farm known as the Marion Clark farm in
1959. They
remodeled the 75 year old farm house and constructed
two large metal sheds.
Jean inherited her great grandfather’s and
her maternal grandfather, W. O. DeSilva’s love of
trees and shrubs.
Loris specializes in Purebred Angus Cattle –
all of which are registered.
The Loris Edmondsons still reside on their
farm down by Clio.
Son Lynn is presently attending Medical
school in Des Moines, Iowa; studying for a degree in
Cytology. Son
Regie and wife Kathy and children Misti Dawn and
Philip Craig reside on Town and Country Lane in
Trenton, Missouri where Regie is Assistant
Supervisor for Rock Island Railroad in the signal
Department. |
