Ira B. FRAZEE, of Ames, called on us Monday morning. He has been visiting his parents and friends in Toledo a few days.
Grinnell, Ia. Fall Term begins Sept. 8th, 1875.
Last Sunday was quite lively in Toledo. There were two quarterly meetings, a temperance meeting and a wedding in one of the churches.
Dent CAMERY was up to Marshalltown the early part of this week. He says the crops in Tama County are looking better than those in Marshalltown.
W. F. JOHNSTON went to Mt. Vernon last Thursday evening to attend a meeting of the Trustees of Cornell College, which was held to select a site for the new Chapel building about to be erected there. He went from there on to Chicago, and will come home via Wisconsin and Minnesota – taking a short tour for rest and recreation.

Rev. F. M. ROBERTSON, expects to leave for California the latter part of this week.
Rev. Dr. GOLDEN preached in the M. E. Church last Sabbath morning and evening.
Mr. H. J. PATTERSON took possession of the Farmers’ Elevator last Monday morning.
Rev. O. H. DERRY has purchased of Mrs. E. N. BARKER the house now occupied by Homer BRADSHAW.
W. H. NEWCOMER, of Traer, who has been visiting in our midst for the last few weeks, started home last Monday afternoon.
