Several days after this picture was taken the church building was removed. We understand the lumber will be used in a new chapel at Eldora, Iowa. The church was photographed by John A. (Archie) Lund in November, 1956.
Nellis. Rev. Nellis transferred on November 8, 1920. He was succeeded by Rev. O. P. Bantz. Rev. Bantz preached his last sermon on August 25, 1929.
Rev. Lawrence Sams, a non resident minister, served the church until Rev. T. Dillon arrived. In 1941, Rev. John Baiotto succeeded Rev. Dillon.
Rev. Baiotto moved to Scranton, Iowa, in August, 1953. Rev. Pauline Comly followed Rev. Baiotto as the pastor of the church. Rev. Comly was the last pastor of the church. The church was closed in August, 1955.
Dr. Catherine Robinson compiled the history of St. Gabriel's Church.
