April 3, 1847. He married Minnie Falk on April 19, 1872. They moved to our community in 1887.

Frederick and Minnie were the parents of four children. They were Charles W., Fred A., Ida, and Minnie. Charles W. and Fred A. were Zearing business men for many years. They were in the implement and grain business.

Frederick died on April 14, 1929. Minnie died on April 8, 1927. They are buried at Eldora, Iowa.

HOLVECK

Louis Holveck was a soldier in the French army during the Franco-Prussian War. When France was defeated his home in Alsace Lorraine became a part of Germany. Louis came to the United States.

Louis was born in Alsace Lorraine on April 19, 1837. He married Laura Robinson. The family lived on a farm southeast of Zearing for many years.

Louis and Laura were the parents of six sons and two daughters. They were Joseph, Mary, John, Margaret, Albert, David, Daniel, and Charles. Joseph was a farmer in our community. Charles been a Zearing business man for many years.

Louis died on November 10, 1922. Laura died in 1898.

LeROY

Frank E. LeRoy was a peace time service man in the United States Navy. He enlisted in 1905. He served four years. Frank was the son of Charles H. and Bell Cordle LeRoy.

Frank married Lucy Rowley on June 24, 1909. Frank and Lucy were the parents of a son, Donald.

Frank died on April 3, 1938. He was buried in the Zearing Mausoleum.

Culbertson

Eber Delwin Culbertson was a peace time soldier. He enlisted at Baltimore, Maryland; in 1928. He served in the Service Company of the 1st Tank Regiment.

Eber was born in Franklin county, Pennsylvania, on January 1, 1911. The following year his parents, Earl and Alice McVitty Culbertson, moved to our community. Eber was killed in a train accident in 1931.

The Culbertson family is a well known family in our community in 1956. Alice and Earl were the parents of four children. They were Eber, Ralph, Esther, and Dorothy. Alice and Earl are living in our community in 1956.
