Coleman, Robert H.—Bob was a member of the famous 34th Infantry Division. He served in Africa and Italy.
Reynolds, Henry Dale—Dale enlisted at St. Louis, Missouri, and received his early training at Murray, Kentucky, and Edmond, Oklahoma. He attended radio school at Auburn, Alabama, for five months. He was assigned to the U. S. S. McKinley, a communications ship. Dale was in the action at Peleliu, and nearby islands.

On November 1, 1942, the Memorial Plaque was dedicated. The names of all the local service men and women were inscribed on the Memorial Plaque. W. S. Rupe of Ames, Iowa, delivered the dedication address. Rev. Kerney gave the invocation. Music was furnished by the high school band.
