Jones, Joseph Leo—Leo took part in the invasion of Bougainville. He spent three months there with the Marines.
Steelman, Floyd O.—Floyd traveled more than 270,000 miles on the sea during his service in the Navy. He saw a lot of action as a member of the crew of the U. S. S. Stockham, a destroyer.
Tisdale, Dale E.—Dale served with the 5th Army in Italy. He was awarded a bronze star during the advance to Rome.
Cerka, William Loren—Loren served for seven months with the Far East Air Force at Fort McKinley, Luzon, Philippines.
Johnston, Franklin Dale—Lieutenant Johnston was with the 6th Armored Division when they landed in France on July 17, 1944. The 6th Armored fought its way to Brest. During the fighting, Dale was slightly wounded. After recovering he returned to the front and was seriously wounded near Nancy, France. A German bazooka shell hit his tank.
Lund, John A. Jr.—John campaigned with General Patton's army across France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
Turner, Forrest A.—Forrest served with the Headquarters Squadron, 59th Air Service Group. He ended his overseas service in Korea.
Buffington, Jerald D.—Jerald was in the fighting at Reims and Metz, France. He fought at Liege and Maastricht, Belgium. He was at Cologne, Germany, and through Germany to the Hartz mountains.
Gray, William B. Jr.—Bill campaigned in the Pacific with the 6th Infantry Division.
Christianson, Lavern B.—Chris spent two months at Tsingtao, China, with Combat Unit Battalion 19. He then transferred to a landing ship, the U.S.S. Casa Grande. The Casa Grande transported small ships into dry dock.
Golly, Hartley L.—Swede served with the 27th Infantry Division in the Pacific area. He was in the fighting on Saipan and Okinawa.
McBride, Harlow R.—Harlow was a battalion agent with the 188th Field Artillery. He campaigned from Omaha Beach to Leipzig, Germany. This included the Battle of the Bulge.
Grimm, Donald H.—Don served for more than a year in New Guinea. He served for almost a year in Leyte, Philippines. Don went overseas with the infantry. He was transferred to a mail transportation unit in Australia.
Golly, John Marvin—Marvin was selected as a member of an evacuation squadron to remove the wounded from Tarawa. His plane was the first American plane to land at Tarawa.
