REID, SAMUEL—Co. I, 6th Iowa Infantry
Samuel enlisted on July 12, 1861. He was discharged on January 1, 1862. Samuel was a member of G. A. R. Post 31 at Nevada, Iowa.
Samuel was sent to the Iowa-Missouri border to help prevent an enemy invasion of Iowa. He was wounded in the right shoulder in the fighting at La Mine Bridge, Missouri .

WATKINS, JOSEPH H.—Co. G, 132nd Ohio Infantry
Joseph enlisted on May 2, 1864. He was discharged on September 10, 1864, at Camp Chase, Ohio. Joseph was a member of G. A. R. Post 238 at Colo, Iowa.
Joseph did garrison duty at White House, Virginia. He did garrison duty at Bermuda Hundred, Virginia.

BARTINE, AMOS A.—Co. B, 2nd Iowa Cavalry
Amos enlisted on July 30, 1861. He was mustered in on August 31, 1861. He was discharged on February 29, 1864. Amos reenlisted on March 1, 1864. Amos was promoted to Fifth Sergeant on July 5, 1865. He received his final discharge on September 19, 1865, at Selma, Alabama.
Amos campaigned with the cavalry in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. He fought in the important battle at Shiloh, Tennessee.

James enlisted on September 21, 1864. He was discharged on May 30, 1865, at Washington, D.C.
James marched with Sherman's army to the sea. He campaigned in the Carolinas. He marched in the Grand Review on May 24, 1865, at Washington, D.C.
