Albright, WILLIAM MAYER—Co. G, 47th Iowa Infantry
William enlisted on May 7, 1864. He was discharged on September 28, 1864, at Davenport, Iowa. William was a member of G.A.R. Post 8, at Iowa City, Iowa.
William was assigned to garrison duty at Helena, Arkansas. The journey to Helena was made in box cars as far as Cairo, Illinois. The journey was completed on a boat. William contracted malaria and returned to Iowa before the regiment did.

Thomas fought in the battle of Petersburg, Virginia. He fought in the Battles of the Wilderness. He fought in the Appomattox campaign which resulted in the surrender of Lee. Thomas marched in the Grand Review on May 24, 1865, at Washington, D.C.

John campaigned in the Carolinas. He marched in the Grand Review on May 24, 1865, at Washington, D.C.

Thomas enlisted on August 21, 1862. He was discharged on January 16, 1863, for disability. Thomas was a member of G. A. R. Post 141 at Iowa. Falls, Iowa.
Thomas was mustered in at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 14, 1862. He was sent to Columbus, Kentucky. At the time of his discharge, Thomas was stationed at Helena, Arkansas.
