JOYCE, JESS J.—427th Bomb Squadron (H) 303rd Bomb Group (H)

Jess was the son of Mrs. Caroline Joyce. He was the brother of Mardean Joyce Holveck.

BORN: 1923; MISSING IN ACTION: Never returned from a flight over Germany in 1944.

OSE, KEITH T.—Anti Tank Co., 120th Infantry, 30th Division

Keith was the son of Oscar and Beulah Ose. He married Donna Huntrods of Collins, Iowa. He was wounded in July, 1944, and again in October, 1944. Keith was killed in action on November 22, 1944.

WHEELOCK, ROBERT A.—Headquarters Co., 23rd Infantry, 2nd Division.

Robert was the son of Bernard and Mary Wheelock. At the time of his death, he was only nineteen years of age.

World War II Veteran Killed After Armistice

REYNOLDS, HENRY DALE—613th Air Combat and Control

Squadron. Dale was the son of Henry S. and Dora Reynolds. After his discharge from World War II, he returned to Zearing. However, he enlisted in the Army Air Force. Dale was burned to death in a fire in Japan in 1949.

Parkey, JOHN W.—8th Army Replacement Center

John was the son of John Ira and Tillie Parkey. He was a veteran of World War II. First reports listed John as missing in action.
