John and Ethelyn were the parents of three children. They were Muriel, Elda, and Neal H.
John and Ethelyn own and operate Coe's Cafe in Zearing in 1956.
COMFORT :
Robert Comfort was born at Des Moines, Iowa, on February 1, 1890. Sarah Johnston was born in our community. Robert and Sarah were married on March 18, 1914, at the Johnston home in our community.
Robert and Sarah were the parents of four children. They were Ambrose, Kenneth, Bessie, and Kathryn.
Robert and Sarah are living in Illinois Grove in 1956.
CURLEY :
Stephen Curley was born on December 25, 1855, near Boston,
Massachusetts. Jane Sullivan was a native of Connecticut.
Stephen came to Iowa from Hartford, Connecticut, in 1877. The
Curley family moved to Zearing, Iowa, in 1912.
Stephen and Jane were the parents of eight children. They were John W., Kate, Fannie, Mary, Elizabeth, William J., Celia, and Elsie.
Stephen died on April 12, 1952. Jane died on December 10, 1929.
Erickson :
Henry O. Erickson was born near Huxley, Iowa, on April 9, 1886. Henry married Charlotte Rahfeldt on January 21, 1914. Charlotte was a member of the pioneer Rahfeldt family of Lincoln township. They moved to our community after the marriage.
Henry and Charlotte were the parents of a son, Jesse.
Henry died on March 22, 1956. Charlotte is living in our community in 1956.
KLEESPIE :
Charles H. Kleespie was born on September 6, 1887, in Tama county, Iowa. Minnie Pulver was born in Paducah, Kentucky. Charles and Minnie were married at Marshalltown, Iowa, on November 26, 1908. They moved to our community in February, 1911.
Charles and Minnie were the parents of three children. They were Madeline, Charles Raymond, and Arthur A. Ray and Art are twins.
Charles and Minnie are living in Zearing, Iowa, in 1956.
