Alfred Riley and Mary were the parents of four children. They were Carrie Bell Treman Craft, Mary Treman Wilson, Frank Alonzo Treman, and Minnie Treman Fleming.
Alfred Riley died on October 5, 1898. He is buried in the Zearing Cemetery. Mary died on February 4, 1912. Evidence indicates that Mary was buried at Sycamore, Illinois.

Nicholas A. Ufford was born on October 28, 1813, at Lee, Oneida county, New York. Sarah S. Mott was born on December 3, 1818, at Lee, Oneida county, New York. The town, Lee, might possibly be the town called Lee Center, in 1956.
Nicholas and Sarah were married in New York. We do not have the date. They moved to our community in the 1860's. Nicholas was a farmer and carpenter in our community. He built the country school which was later used by the people of Zearing. Zearing used the country school until a town school could be built. Nicholas was a trapper in northwest Iowa in the winter. He was a friend of the Indians.
