laid across the box for a seat. It was a thirty mile trip. Charles and Anna moved to a farm in our community after the wedding.
Charles and Anna were the parents of eleven children. They were Clara, Christine, Bernhard, Eli, Walter, Emma, Charles Jr., Frank, Ernest, Alfred, and Gustay.
In 1954, three of the children are deceased. They are Christine, Charles Jr., and Frank. Clara Schuler Patzer is living at Marietta, Minnesota, Bernhard lives at Minneapolis, Minnesota. Eli and Gustav are residents of Madison, Minnesota. Emma Schuler Bates and Ernest are residents of La Bolt, South Dakota. Alfred lives at Lake View, Oregon. Walter is a resident of Granite Falls, Minnesota.
Charles died on October 16, 1934. Anna died on July 7, 1940. They are buried in the Augusta Cemetery at Marietta, Minnesota.
Henry Schuler was born on April 8, 1856, at Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany. Henry married Mary Young on October 10, 1879. Mary was born in Germany on April 5, 1857. Mary's parents left Germany bound for the United States when Mary was six weeks old.
Henry and Mary established a home in our community after their marriage in 1879. They were the parents of seven children. The children were Otto, Ollie, Arnold, Henry Jr., Eldon, Ray, and Estella.
In 1954, three of the children are deceased. They are Otto, Arnold, and Ray. Ollie Schuler Bryant lives at Chino, California. Henry Jr. is living at Swea City, Iowa. Eldon's home is at Blue Earth, Minnesota. Estella Schuler Weir is a resident of Creston, Ohio.
Henry died on April 2, 1946. Mary died on December 22, 1927.
John Schuler was born on November 23, 1845, at Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany. John married Elizabeth Kuhlman on April 1, 1875, in Marshall county, Iowa. Elizabeth was born in Germany on August 17, 1858. Elizabeth's parents left Germany bound for the United States when Elizabeth was three days old.
John and Elizabeth were the parents of twelve children. They were Lena, Henry, William, Charles, Lizzie, Minnie, John Jr., Edward, Mary, Fern, Julius, and Alvin.
Lena was born on September 25, 1876, in Marshall county, Iowa. The other children were born in our community.
John died on November 26, 1927. Elizabeth died on March 30, 1916.
