The LeRoy McCloud family moved to Kansas on December 27, 1913.
LeRoy Earl died on September 15, 1953. He is buried at Girard, Kansas. Clara is living at Girard, Kansas, in 1955.
McCormack :
Dr. McCormack was a Zearing dentist during the early 1900's. The McCormack family was a prominent Zearing family for fifteen years.
Dr. Arthur J. McCormack of Clemons, Iowa, and Melissa Wyatt of State Center, Iowa, were married on September 18, 1901. They moved to Zearing, Iowa, in 1901.
Arthur and Melissa were the parents of three children. They were Dr. Delos W. McCormack, Maxine McCormack Kirk, and James E. McCormack.
Arthur and Melissa moved to Litchfield, Minnesota, in 1916.
McDONALD :
The McDonald family was a prominent family in the Illinois Grove neighborhood. Later they moved to the northeast corner of Lincoln township.
Michael McDonald was born in County Clare, Ireland. Mary Haney was born in County Clare, Ireland. Michael and Mary were married at State Center, Iowa, in March, 1872. They moved to our community in 1901.
Michael and Mary were the parents of five children. They were Sarah, William, Annie, Catherine, and Dominec. There were three step children in the family. They were James, Margaret, and Mamie Bannon. Sarah McDonald Dunwoody is living in Zearing in 1956.
Michael died on August 3, 1930. Mary died in January, 1903. They are buried in the Dunn Cemetery, Marshall county, Iowa.
McVITTY :
Two members of the McVitty family are well known residents of our community in 1956. They are Daisy McVitty LeFevre and Maude McVitty Norton.
