Lundy :

The Lundy family has been prominent in our community since 1900. Thomas G. Lundy is a member of the Story county board of supervisors in 1956. He was elected to a second term in November, 1954.

John Lundy was born on January 28, 1864, in Carroll county, Illinois. John married Lutie Tabor at Maquoketa, Iowa, on February 17, 1890. They established their home at Savannah, Hlinois. In 1900, they moved to a farm in our community.

John and Lutie were the parents of two children. They were Thomas G. and Lola. Thomas G. established his home in our community.

John died on August 15, 1951. Lutie died on March 4, 1942.

LUTZ :

The Lutz family has been prominent in Lincoln township and in Zearing. Several members of the family were Lincoln township farmers. Nettie clerked in Armstrong's store. Carolyn was an assistant postmaster.

John W. Lutz was born in Illinois. He married Emma Gehm in Illinois on January 23, 1889. Emma was born at Lostant, Illinois, on May 15, 1863.

John and Emma lived near Springfield, Nebraska, for ten years. Then they moved to a farm in our community.

John and Emma were the parents of five children. They were George, Carolyn, Lewis, Nettie, and Lydia.

John died on October 31, 1906. Emma died on March 20, 1934.

McBRIDE :

The name McBride needs no introduction in our community. Members of the McBride family have always been interested in the welfare of our community.

Jacob E. McBride was born in Ohio on May 6, 1860. Clara Conner was born in West Virginia on July 6, 1865. J. E. and Clara were married in Illinois in 1881. They moved to our community in 1905.

J. E. and Clara were the parents of eleven children. They were : Pearl, Orrin, Ray, Lucy, Glen, Harold, Leslie, Lola, Russell, Velma, and Avalee.

Jacob E. died on February 15, 1923. Clara died on August 18, 1937.

McCALL :

The McCall family was a prominent family in Zearing during the late 1890's and early 1900's. The family took part in many community activities.
