After the death of Rachel, John Ira married Mary Jane Golly at St. Charles, Illinois. John Ira and Mary Jane were the parents of four children. They were George Sr., H. Alexander, Henryetta, and Anna. Mary Jane died at St. Charles, Illinois, on April 16, 1863.
John Ira married Mary Amanda Cole for his third wife. John Ira and Amanda were the parents of six children. They were William, James, Samuel, Katie, Frank, and Rosa.
John Ira died at Zearing, Iowa, in September, 1903.
H. Alexander Grandy, the son of John Ira and Mary Jane Golly Grandy, was born on May 20, 1862, near St. Charles, Illinois. Leafa Dell Lang was born at Volney, Iowa, on February 19, 1881. H. Alexander and Leafa Dell were married on September 23, 1897, at Waukon, Iowa. H. Alexander worked at the mason trade in our community in later years. He was also a well digger.
H. Alexander and Leafa Dell were the parents of five children. They were Zoe, Hugh, George Jr., Elizabeth, and Leafa Belle.
H Alexander died on October 21, 1943. Leafa Dell is living in Zearing, Iowa, in 1956.
George Henry Grandy Sr. was born near St. Charles, Illinois, on March 12, 1860. George was the eldest son of John Ira and Mary Jane Golly Grandy. He was a batchelor.
George was a member of Pacific Lodge No. 469, A. F. & A. M. at the time of his death. He became a member of the lodge on December 13, 1895. He united with the church when meetings were held at the Wickham school house. George was a carpenter. He died on November 10, 1931.
Mary Elizabeth Grandy, the daughter of John Ira and Rachel Blank Grandy, was born near St. Charles, Illinois, on December 17, 1853. Mary Elizabeth married John McClain. We have little information about John. He was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, and died in Missouri. John was the first marshal in the incorporated town of Zearing, Iowa.
John and Mary Elizabeth were the parents of a son, John. The son died many years ago. Mary Elizabeth died on January 9, 1939.

The Greenberg family was a well known Zearing family during the early 1900's. Carl Greenberg was a Zearing blacksmith and shoe repair man for many years.
Carl Greenberg was born at Stettin, Germany, on October 18, 1848. Emma Paul was born on February 20, 1858, in Riehtenberg, Germany. Carl and Emma were married at Riehtenberg on June 21, 1878. In 1881, they moved to Arlington Heights, Illinois. In
